When it comes to fees, the range spans from 0.00% maker fee (MEXC) to 0.10% (Binance, Kraken). That may sound small, but at $10,000 monthly volume it adds up: at 0.10% you pay $10 per trade, at 0.00% nothing. Over a year, that is up to $240 difference. Security is the second-most critical factor after the collapses of FTX and Celsius. EU-regulated exchanges with MiCA licenses offer the strongest protection — in our comparison, KuCoin Europe, Bybit Europe, Kraken, Crypto.com, Gate Europe, Bitpanda, OKX Europe, Bitstamp, Coinbase EU, Bitvavo, Gemini EU, Bit2Me, Bullish Europe, WhiteBIT EU and Backpack EU are already MiCA-regulated.
